daring baker's basic cheesecake

This months challenge is hosted by Jenny from Jenny Bakes. She has chosen Abbey's infamous cheesecake as the challenge.  I have made cheesecake plenty of times and this recipe was an easy delight and turned out just as delicious!  I thought I would continue  my love of lemon and add a drizzle of dark chocolate.  I love these two flavors combined.  I wanted to make a tangy lemon drizzle... but I find lately I haven't had much time to do anything.  Busy, busy!  ... So hence why I didn't get a chance to be creative.  :(
Check out Jenny's blog for the sweet recipe here.
For the chocolate drizzle:

Melt 100g of 70% chocolate or higher in a double broiler.   You could even add some flavoring to the chocolate like- butter rum or amaretto for some extra tasty deliciousness.
Hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

cleaning and baking, baking and cleaning

Today has been such a gorgeous day!  The sun is shining, the birds are singing, a warm breeze is  flowing threw the window which I'm pretty sure has turned into a cool breeze.... sigh.  I think this weekend will be one for baking and spring cleaning.  I've been kind of lazy in the cleaning department lately, I don't know what it is but I just don't have the urge.  So with high hopes for some magic to happen this weekend... the house will finally be back in order! (maybe I'll find my camera battery charger too!)
ps. that shirt that I lost... remember that?  Well it was hiding out in a drawer with my certain unmentionables... yeah I know... weird. lol
Find the biscotti recipe here.
Happy weekend everyone!

easter sweets

Here's a little look at some of my easter treats!  I wish I had photo's of the others... but they...well...a... got eaten!   Happy Easter long weekend everyone!

roasted goodness

Here is the first decent meal I've had all week!  From being busy with work, baking some easter treats and recently becoming completely infatuated with the Twilight series. I'll tell you, I didn't want to do anything but read! I thought I wasn't going to be one of those people... I held off for a bit, even when people told me the books were too good, but I eventually gave in. I don't know what it is, but I'm hooked!  I just bought the second installment today... so here I go again.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! It seems everyone has spring cleaning fever!!!
